Chapter 27: The Moment of Truth

Well today I finally got down on my knees and set myself to the task of soaking the maple syrup out of my suitcase. It turned out to be not so bad, and the zippers are working again even if they are a bit sticky in a couple spots. However, I also found another thing to add to my list of totally crushed. My neon pink luggage tag. That’s right. Smashed, scuffed, and broken. Sigh. Don’t know how I missed it the first time.

ok, first of all. you "god" down to the task? i hardly think that your suitcase would still be as hard to open as it was if god was involved in the soaking out of the syrup. and second, your luggage tag may have been bruised, but i think it held up valiantly in the face of the many perils it has overcome.

Point taken. I will remove any religion from the situation immediately, thus giving it the proper dosage of difficulty and strenuousness.

But my luggage tag was not merely bruised. Smashed I tell you. You just didn't look closely enough at it.
